With the weather in June being more wet than dry, many schools have had to have alternative plans for their end of the year “Field Days” or cancel them all together. Although the rain was pounding down all day on Thursday, it was not enough to stop P.S. 101 of Forest Hills, Queens, to work with the I.C.E. Tour in creating a special day for their students. The I.C.E. Tour trucks traveled through the rain and to the school where the set up all the interactive inflatables in the school’s gym. Over 500 children entered the gym with looks of shock and enjoyment on their face when they saw the mini-carnival the I.C.E. Tour had set up in their gym. Children had the ability to receive some great prizes given out after spinning the prize wheel, enjoy the interactive inflatables, and party with their favorite mascot, Sparky! It was a great treat for all children, all of which left with a smile on their face exiting the gymnasium.
