Islanders season ticketholders get to see crucial Mets game tonight

A reminder to all members of NYI365 – our Islanders full season ticketholders – NYI365 Appreciation Night is tonight at Shea Stadium when the Mets host the Washington Nationals.

And let's face it: when we first announced this Islanders' gift to season ticketholders three weeks ago, who would have thought this was going to be the biggest game of the year?

Tonight, thousands of Islanders fans clad in their team colors will descend on Shea Stadium for a big Mets game just ten days before the NYI's Opening Night.

Howie Rose is sure to mention it on his broadcast on WFAN tonight and the SNY cameras will be there, too. and Islanders TV will also have reports.

This special Islanders event at the Mets game will include a special on-field presentation recognizing the Islanders season ticketholders along with in-stadium announcements and in-game promotions developed to highlight the NYI365 members in attendance. The Mets Pepsi Patrol will shoot Islanders T-shirts into the packed stands at Shea. The Islanders commercial, featuring Christie Brinkley, will be showcased on the Shea scoreboard.

This is an event all members of NYI365 will not want to miss.

"There are many reasons for Islanders fans to be a member of NYI365 but never enough ways for our organization to thank our subscribers for their loyalty and support throughout the hockey season," said Chris Dey, the Islanders Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operations. "We felt this was a fun way to kick off the hockey season. We really look forward to seeing all of our season subscribers at the Mets game."

See you tonight at Shea!
