NYI TICKET PLANS NOW ON SALE

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

OK, the puck is on your stick! The only question now is... will you score?

After a very productive off-season—one which saw the Islanders hire Scott Gordon as the new coach, sign four-time all-star Doug Weight and power-play specialist Mark Streit, and select Josh Bailey in the first round of the NHL Draft—the team is extremely excited about the 2008-09 season. And we know you are too!

Now, we want to see you as much as you want to see the Islanders! To that end, we have made it easier than ever to select a ticket plan that is perfect for you and your family. In all, there are more than a dozen packages to choose from, offering unprecedented flexibility and savings.

"Our fans have always been there for us, and this is our way of saying thank you," said Ralph Sellitti, Vice President of Ticket Sales.  "By offering so many options, we feel that there is a plan for everyone."

First, there is the ultimate plan for any die-hard Islanders fan—the full season plan. There is no better way to experience the action—and this season you can save up to 50% off the box office prices—meaning you will get half of the season for free! And while you may know all about our full season option, and the benefits that go with it, you may be surprised to hear about some of our newer plans.

The Flexible Seating Full Season Plan, for example, is sure to attract some of the most dedicated fans. A nice variation of the standard full season plan, the Flex Seating full season package allows you to sit in the lower VIP section for 10 of the 42 home games.

If the full season is a little too much for you, we are offering four different half-season plans, including a first-half plan, a second-half plan, a Flex 20 Plan, and the tasty Borrelli's All Star Plan. With the Flex 20, you will receive 20 "ticket vouchers" that you can use as you please to select games. You do the math—you can go to one game with 19 friends, fly solo for 20 games, or any combination in between. Be as creative as you would like. With the Borrelli's All Star Plan, we have chosen 21 premier games for you to attend, including all of the home games against the Rangers and Penguins, as well as Opening Night! Plus, you will receive a $20 food voucher from Borrelli's fine Italian restaurant.

If it is a smaller plan you are after, perhaps you would like to choose one of our three "Choice" plans. Select the Weekday Plan—and keep your weekends free; or the Butera's Build-a-Plan, which allows you to build your own plan, and receive a valuable Butera's gift card. Then, there is the Experience: Hockey Plan, which combines great seats with once-in-a-lifetime access to events.

Finally, there are the four "Bonus Plans"—including our Matinee Plan, the Upgrade Plan, the Big Value Plan, and the Victory Plan. If you go for the four-game Victory Plan, each time the Islanders win one of the games from the plan, you will be rewarded with tickets to another select game.

The best way to understand the power, speed, intensity of Islanders hockey is to experience it. And the only way to truly experience it, is by sitting in Nassau Coliseum, separated from the action by just a one-half inch piece of glass.

The puck is on your stick... make sure you hit the back of the net!
