Sarnia's Matt Martin had another productive weekend, recording a hat trick and adding an assist in Sarnia's 4-2 win over Mississauga on Sunday. Meanwhile, in the QMJHL, Shawinigan hasn't been beaten in more than a month, earning its 15th consecutive victory, helped by a three-point game by Simon Lacroix. Islanders 2008 draft pick David Ullstrom was announced as a forward for the Swedish Junior National Team at the upcoming 2009 World Junior Championship in Ottawa, starting December 26. Update: Martin had his best game of the season on Sunday, scoring three goals and adding an assist in Sarnia's 4-2 win over Mississauga. Martin scored all three of his goals in the third period to pick up First Star honors.

What the Scouts are Saying: "With Sarnia being out-played heading into the third on Sunday, Matt took over the game to score three hard-working goals. Matt is big, physical and good at finishing checks."

Update:
DiBenedetto is riding a seven-game point streak. He recorded two goals and two assists last week, with Sarnia going 2-1. DiBenedetto is keeping pace with the top talent in the OHL, ranking fifth in points and tied for third in goals.

Update: Donovan picked up a pair of power play assists over the weekend as Cedar Rapids won both games. Donovan is second on the team's defense in points.

Update: Djurgardens had a rough week, going 0-2-0. Figren did not factor into the scoring.



Name: Max Gratchev

Update: Gratchev has been picking up the pace recently. Lewiston recorded two losses last week, but Gratchev contributed four points to gain the team lead in scoring. Gratchev tallied a goal and two assists in a 7-4 loss to Shawinigan on Friday.

Update: Gregoire scored a goal in North Dakota's 2-2 tie with Minnesota-Duluth on Friday. The Fighting Sioux then lost 3-1 to the same team on Saturday. Gregoire is tied for first on North Dakota in points among rookies.

Update: Clarkson has lost five straight games, including a pair of 4-2 decisions against Quinnipiac and Princeton last weekend. Guthrie picked up his first point––an assist––in Friday's loss to Quinnipiac.

Update: Hamonic scored the lone goal in Moose Jaw's 4-1 loss to Kootenay on Saturday. Later this week, Hamonic will take part in two games in the Canada-Russia ADT Challenge.

Update: Katic recorded his fourth multipoint game of the season with a goal and an assist in Friday's 3-2 win over Sault Ste. Marie. He added an assist the following day in a 3-2 loss to Belleville. Tonight, Katic and Team Ontario take on Russia in the first of two Canada-Russia ADT Challenge games.

Update: Denver earned a huge split against No. 1 Minnesota, losing on Friday, but picking up a 4-0 shutout on Saturday. Rakhshani scored the third goal of the game in the win on Saturday.

Update: Weslosky was brilliant this weekend, allowing only three goals in two games, but St. Cloud could only manage a split over Wisconsin. Weslosky made 38 saves on Saturday, but St. Cloud lost 1-0. He stopped 30 of 32 shots in the win on Friday.
