Ted to serve as guest studio commentator during doubleheader

Islanders head coach Ted Nolan will serve as an in-studio guest commentator for VERSUS on Friday, April 27 during the network's NHL playoff doubleheader.

Nolan will be in the studio all night on Friday, starting with the pre-game show "Hockey Central" at 6:30 pm EST followed by the network's coverage of back-to-back Game 2s of the Conference Semifinals: Rangers at Buffalo at 7:00 pm followed by Vancouver at Anaheim at 10:00 pm.

"It goes without saying that I'd much rather be coaching our Islanders in these games," said Nolan. "But this should be a good experience for me and any time you can promote Islanders Hockey, you have to jump at it. I'll do the best I can and try to have fun with it."

Said VERSUS coordinating producer Michael Baker: "Ted Nolan is one of the best coaches in the National Hockey League. It will be a privilege for us to have him on our panel in the studio. He knows the teams in the East as well as anyone, so we're looking forward to his insights."
