TRANSACTIONS: Selected by the Islanders in the fourth round (92nd overall) of the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Signed an entry-level contract with the Islanders on May 31, 2011.

LAST SEASON: Established career highs in goals (29), points (64) and plus-minus rating (+43) in his fourth Ontario Hockey League season with the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors…Led the team with 11 power-play goals, finished second with three short-handed goals and ranked third in goals, assists (29) and points…Added a career-high 19 points (5g/14a) with a +11 rating in 16 OHL playoff games, as Mississauga fell in Game 7 of the OHL Finals…Led the team in postseason assists and tied for second in points…Recorded 17 multi-point games, including a season-high five-point night (3g/2a) on Jan. 8 at Sudbury…Finished his junior career with 203 points (88g/115a) and a +70 rating in 238 regular-season games, and 45 points (18g/27a) with a +9 rating in 47 playoff games.

JUNIOR:  2009-10: Completed his third OHL season with Mississauga and posted career highs in goals (25), assists (37) and points (62)...Led the team in assists and co-led the Majors in points...Posted a team-high +32 rating...Netted nine power-play goals and one short-handed tally...Added a team-high 14 points (7g/7a) in sixteen OHL playoff games.

2008-09: Scored 36 points (16g/20a) in 55 games during his second OHL season with Mississauga...Ranked sixth on the team in scoring...Tied for fourth on the team in playoff scoring with nine points (5g/4a) in 11 games.  2007-08: Finished the season as the 10th ranked rookie scorer in the OHL with 41 points (18g/23a) in 62 games for Mississauga...Ranked fourth on the team in scoring...Notched a +12 rating...Co-led the team in playoff scoring, with three points (1g/2a) in four postseason games.

2007-08: Selected by Mississauga in the first round (3rd overall) of the 2007 OHL Draft...Played minor hockey for West Mall, Mississauga Reps/IceDogs and the Toronto Avalanche...With the Mississauga IceDogs Minor Midget AAA, he had 106 points in 77 games

INTERNATIONAL: 2011: Helped Canada win the silver medal at the World Junior Championships in Buffalo, NY…Scored two goals and one assist in six games.
