The New York Islanders released today a rendering of what the new arena could potentially look like.
“What the rendering shows is a vision for what could exist right here on Long Island,” Islanders Owner Charles Wang said. “This is just a possible look, but it is spectacular and would be a true destination spot for Nassau County and Long Island as a whole.”
On Monday, August 1st, Nassau County residents will go to their regular polling places to vote on a referendum that would enable the county to bond for a new sports and entertainment complex.
“It is very exciting for the organization to offer fans a look into the future to see what the new building could possibly look like,” Wang said. “Our approach all along has been to emulate elements from successful arenas like the Prudential Center in New Jersey and the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, and this is a very good representation of both. We look forward to giving Long Island residents an arena that they can be proud of for years to come.”
