Fans are used to hearing from them on the television and radio broadcasts, but now they're coming to the Internet. The "voices", Islanders broadcasters Billy Jaffe, Chris King, Steve Mears and Howie Rose can now be read through the team's newest blog -- NYI Voices.

The NYI Voices blog will be written by the broadcasters themselves and fans can also expect to hear from special guests such as Islanders Hall of Fame broadcaster Jiggs McDonald among others.

"We have been trying to bring our fans as close to the team as possible for the past few years and now we are bringing them closer to the people who broadcast Islanders games," said Islanders media relations coordinator Corey Witt. "We know our fans have a strong connection to our broadcasters and now we are able to bring them all to one place. Only so much can be said during a broadcast and this is a perfect outlet for Howie, Billy, Steve and Chris to connect with their viewers and listeners even more."

The newest entry to the NYI Voice Blog comes from McDonald and he discusses his involvement in the Dinner and a Dynasty DVD which he hosted.

Said McDonald: "I thought I knew all the stories that went with those Cup winning teams. Wrong again!! The evening went by way too quickly and the stories were both insightful, as to how those teams went about their business, as well as hilarious."
