Nate Thompson started his week with the I.C.E. Tour Monday morning and made his way out to Ronkonkoma to visit the children of the Early Discoveries Center day camp. More than 100 children walked outside and had their eyes light up as they saw the interactive inflatables blown up and waiting for them to enjoy. Nate was on hand to sign autographs for all the children in attendance. After signing autographs and taking some pictures with the youngsters, Nate then invited them over to the street hockey set up to play a game. Nate and his team faced off against his biggest rival, Sparky the Dragon and his team of kids! The game was full of smiles and laughter as everyone in attendance really enjoyed themselves. “Today was great. Spending some time with these young kids and getting them to play hockey, some for the first time, was a real pleasure. They really seemed to enjoy themselves,” explained Nate. “I’m looking forward to the rest of my week here and playing hockey with the kids of the other camps and programs we will visit.”
