DOUG WEIGHT ON JOSH BAILEY'S EXTENSION:

"I think it's great. It's good for him. I'm sure these years are hard years. It's what they work for and Bails has had a terrific season to this point and I'm sure it wears on you as the season goes on. He's got a little jump in his step yesterday in practice. I'm excited that it's done."

WEIGHT ON BAILEY'S PROGRESSION OVER THE PAST TWO SEASONS:

"We've always seen Bails' talent and extreme IQ of the game. There's a lot of players you always want more of, from your best players to your fourth liners you want to make them better. Josh deserves the credit. He worked, he found something, he challenged his own confidence on a consistency basis and he's really become a different player over the last 18 months. Kudos to him. It's good to have it done."

GRABNER TO DEBUT FOR DEVILS:

Former Islander Michael Grabner will make his Devils debut on Saturday night. Grabner was acquired from the New York Rangers on Thursday, making him the 11th player to play for the Isles, Rangers and Devils. Grabner also made his Rangers debut against the Islanders in 2015.
Grabner has 25 goals this season and is averaging 2:04 SH/TOI.
"His speed is second-to-none, he's really explosive and a really good penalty killer and I'm sure he'll be excited going to a team that's in a pretty good position," Head Coach Doug Weight said. "He'll be a handful, always is."
