The New York Islanders and Winnipeg Jets each held optional morning skates Tuesday in preparation for their game tonight at Nassau Coliseum. Both teams played last night - The Islanders won 3-1 at New Jersey and the Jets lost 4-2 at the NY Rangers.
Islanders Head Coach Jack Capuano will speak at 5:00 p.m., and the players were unavailable this morning, but here's some photos from both skates, as well as quotes from Winnipeg Head Coach Claude Noel.
The Islanders had about 10 players skating, as well as goaltender Kevin Poulin.

, on the Jets three-game losing streak: "I think we're playing fairly hard, we're just not getting the results that we did before. The desperation has been there. It's not like we don't know where we're at."Noel
, on what he anticipates with the looming trade deadline: "It's hard to say. You can't sit here and say that we're going to make changes because of the way we played the last three games. We haven't gotten the results we've wanted. Is that all of a sudden going to dictate whether we're going to make changes? I think the changes are predicated way before that. There's a big picture in mind here. We don't make those decisions on a game-by-game basis. I certainly don't think it affects the room."Noel
, on if he's going to be watching trade deadline activity on the team's day off tomorrow: "I'm not on Twitter, so I won't be following that. I'll be watching in Montreal, but I won't be hung up on the TV. Things happen pretty quickly, so you find out about the moves that get made. It's not going to consume my day or anything."
