Players begin exhibition season with two games against the Bruins

(Yarmouth, Nova Scotia) The Islanders traveling to Moncton, New Brunswick and Halifax, Nova Scotia for the Islanders' first two preseason games against the Boston Bruins were named Wednesday night.

The 27 players will have a Thursday morning skate before boarding a bus for the six hour ride to Moncton where they will play Friday against the Bruins at 6 pm EST. The team next travels to Halifax to place host to the Bruins Saturday at 6:30 pm EST.

The 31 remaining players will stay in Yarmouth to participate in two scrimmages versus universities from Nova Scotia: St. Francis Xavier and Acadia. On Thursday, those in Yarmouth will skate against St. Francis Xavier at 6:30 pm EST and Saturday against Acadia at 11 am EST. Both games will be played at the Mariners Centre.
