"Miracle" Comes to the Coliseum

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

The Miracle on Ice was one of the greatest moments in American sports history. The movie "Miracle," which re-lives Team USA's Ice Hockey Olympic triumph over the Soviet Union at the 1980 Games in Lake Placid will be featured on Wednesday at 7 pm at the Nassau Coliseum's RE/MAX Movie Night Open House. Doors open at 6 pm.

Aside from the film, Islander defenseman Chris Campoli will be in attendance to sign autographs, as will Sparky the Dragon, the Ice Girls and the I.C.E. Tour inflatables. FREE popcorn will be available for all moviegoers.

Whether you're a hockey fan or just a Long Islander, "Miracle" is a movie that everyone can be inspired by. Make your way out to the Coliseum on Wednesday for a night out at the movies with the whole family.

The 2008-09 season isn’t far away. With the schedule recently released, the Islanders have designed these exciting partial plans that will be available for purchase at the RE/MAX Movie Night Open House.
