Live Updates - Islanders vs. Bruins

7:30 p.m. - Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Uniondale, NY

A couple of tweaks to the lineup tonight. Keith Aucoin is out in favor of David Ullstrom, and Kyle Okposo moves back to the Nielsen line. Evgeni Nabokov back in goal. He stopped all 35 shots he faced Saturday at Buffalo.

1st Period
1:58: Evgeni Nabokov with a heck of a save on Brad Marchand's re-direction from the doorstep.

4:15: Neither team afraid to take the body so far. Whichever off-ice official is in charge of tallying hits is going to be very busy tonight.

5:40: Isles just weathered a storm in their own zone. Nabokov with a pair of saves, Lubomir Visnovsky with a huge block on a rebound. Shots: NYI 2 BOS 6

6:43: Point shot from Adam McQuaid trickles through the pads of Nabokov. That's his first of the year unless it got tipped right in front. 1-0 BOS.

8:05: Breakaway by Michael Grabner, but Tuukka Rask drops down to his stomach and kicks the pads up to make a stop. Still 1-0 Boston.

9:39: Rask with a glove save on a snap one-timer by Tavares. Shots: NYI 5 BOS 7.

13:18: The game sees its first penalty. Gregory Campbell for tripping. Fifth-ranked Isles PP and first-ranked Bruins PK go to work.

15:39: Stoppage in play. Islanders unable to score on the man advantage, but generated a couple of good chances. Shots: NYI 7 BOS 9

15:49: Josh Bailey enters the zone, dekes around a defender and slides a pass to Casey Cizikas who makes it 1-1 from in close.

16:15: Fun fact: Cizikas' last goal was on Jan. 29 at Pittsburgh, and it was also on national TV. Guy has a thing for the big stage.

17:18: Radek Martinek is headed off for tripping. First time we'll see the Islanders PK unit.

End 1st: NYI 1 BOS 1. Shots: NYI 11 BOS 10

2nd Period
0:38: Bruins re-gain the lead, 2-1. Marchand picked up a rebound from in front and backhanded it over a sprawling Nabokov.

5:16: Good puck movement results in the Bruins taking a 3-1 advantage. David Krejci was the beneficiary of a nice set up from Milan Lucic. Krejci put it top shelf as Nabokov from the left circle couldn't get to the post quick enough.

8:07: With Mark Streit in the box, Visnovsky takes a delay of game penalty. Brief 5-on-3 for the B's.

8:21: Play stopped. Streit out of the sin bin. Back to 5-on-4.

9:09: Travis Hamonic with what is so far the play of the game. Shot bounced behind Nabokov, but Hamonic dove all-out to get in the way of a rebound shot and keep the score 3-1. Shots: NYI 13 BOS 19.

10:07: Islanders finish that one off, and Boston is 0-for-3 on the PP.

11:40: Islanders penalty kill getting a few more reps than Jack Capuano would like. Hamonic will sit for awhile for holding.

13:45: Just as the Hamonic minor expired, Andrew MacDonald hits iron at the other end. Still 3-1 Boston. Shots: NYI 16 BOS 22.

18:25: Tavares draws a hooking minor on Zdeno Chara after some deft stickhandling through the Boston zone.

End 2nd: Still 3-1 Bruins. 25 seconds remaining on the Chara minor. Shots: NYI 23 BOS 22

3rd Period
6:05: David Ullstrom creates a scoring opportunity, but Rask covers up the shot. Shots:NYI 27 BOS 24

10:07: Big save by Nabokov on Milan Lucic's one-timer from the right circle to keep it 3-1.

14:54: Nabokov with several quality saves in the third period to keep the Isles within striking distance. Shots: NYI 32 BOS 32.

16:59: Rask with a lunging glove save off Streit's blast from up top. Still 3-1 BOS.
