Live Updates - Islanders at Maple Leafs

7:00 - Air Canada Centre - Toronto, ON

1st Period
2:12: TOR 1-0. Carl Gunnarsson scores on a slapper from the left point. Puck may have been redirected in front of Nabokov. Cody Franson gets the lone assist.

8:39: Islanders score to tie it 1-1. Wacky goal. Initial shot was bobbled off the faceoff by Scrivens and went through a defenseman's legs. Moulson scooped the puck and backhanded it past the sprawled goaltender.

9:44: Toronto takes a 2-1 lead. Quick play off the faceoff. Shot from the point by Liles stopped by Nabokov. Nazem Kadri chips it over Nabokov.

12:48: Mikhail Grabovski scores to make it 3-1 Toronto. Took a feed in the neutral zone and sped through. His shot from just above the left circle went in off the post.

End 1st: Tor 3 NYI 1. Leafs have four seconds left on a power play. Assuming this one gets killed off, the Islanders just killed two penalties back-to-back. Nabokov seems to be back in the zone with several big saves toward the end. Shots: NYI 9 TOR 16.

2nd Period
7:27: No scoring yet in the period. Shots: NYI 15 TOR 21

10:30: Islanders going on their first power play. Grabovski covered the puck with his glove for a delay of game.

11:44  Streit scores on the PP to make it 3-2 Toronto. Tavares entered the zone, passed to Boyes on the right wing. Boyes fed it back to Streit in the slot, who took advantage of the time and space for his 34th career power play goal.

13:10: Boyes first goal as an Islander ties it at 3-3. Nielsen passed from the left wing wall in front to Boyes, who was on the doorstep uncovered. Boyes put a stick on it and it found the back of the net. Islanders have edge in shots this period, 11-6.

End 2nd: NYI 3 TOR 3.

3rd Period
0:19: van Riemsdyk just had a couple of whacks, but Nabokov laid down and make two or three saves. Still 3-3.

3:23: Michael Grabner gives the Islanders their first lead of the night. Boyes chipped a pass across the zone to Grabner, who one-timed the bouncing puck through Scrivens. Boyes has a three-point night. Nielsen with the secondary helper. 4-3 Islanders

4:34: The Islanders are opening this one up and now have a 5-3 lead. Four straight goals, with the latest coming off the stick of Keith Aucoin. He took a feed from David Ullstrom in the right circle and swept a one-timer past Scrivens. That was Aucoin's first goal as an Islander. Colin McDonald also earned his first NHL assist on the play.

4:34: James Reimer takes over in goal for the Leafs.

8:00: Islanders are going on another power play as Nazem Kadri goes to the box for cross-checking. Isles are 1-for-1 on the job tonight.

10:00: Islanders don't score on the man advantage, but still lead 5-3. Shots: NYI 28 TOR 31.

11:20: Moulson makes it 6-3 with his second tally of the evening. The Maple Leafs turned it over in their own zone, and Moulson fired it from the high slot past Reimer. Just before that, Tavares was pushed into the glass by Dion Phaneuf. Immediately after the hit, Matt Carkner went after Phaneuf. Islanders have to kill a penalty now.

17:47: Matt Frattin scores from a tough angle to make it 6-4. The puck came from behind the net and Nabokov couldn't get square to the shot.

18:00: Just as the Leafs pulled Reimer for an extra skater, Aucoin just saved a goal. Puck went through Nabokov and was on the goal line before Aucoin cleared it away.

18:50: Grabner tacks on an empty-netter to make it 7-4. It'll count as a short handed goal, as Aucoin was in the box. Second of the game, third of the season for Grabner.
