3rd Period:
1:25 - CAR PPG goal. Justin Faulk slaps the puck on net; Jaroslav Halak gets a piece, but the puck drops behind him, just over the line before Travis Hamonic swats it out. The goal is briefly reviewed, but counts. 3-1 Islanders

5:11 - NYI GOAL! Mikhail Grabovski buries a Ryan Strome feed and the Islanders take a 4-1 lead.

12:19 - NYI GOAL! Travis Hamonic skates into the right circle and snaps a shot low blocker on Cam Ward. 5-1 Islanders.

2nd Period:
7:37 - NYI PPG Brock Nelson deflects a Johnny Boychuk shot off his body and past Cam Ward. Islanders take a 3-0 lead over the Hurricanes.
