The Islanders inflatable slap shot booth was on hand in Cantiague Park this morning to be a part of the annual Ronald McDonald House Sports Festival. The event is held every year in effort to raise funds to support the Ronald McDonald House. The day is filled with volleyball and softball tournaments for businesses to compete in, barbecues, and other fun activities for everyone to partake in. The Islanders participated by sending their inflatable slap shot booth for everyone to test their shooting accuracy on. The Ice Girls were also there to greet everyone and hand out some great Islander prizes.  The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is a "home away from home" providing comfort and shelter to families experiencing the pain of having a sick child in an area hospital. Families live, prepare their meals, and are able to come and go as necessary while dealing with a very difficult time for them.  For more information about the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island and to find out how you can make a difference, visit them on the web at
