The children of the Lawrence Woodmere Academy Summer Program were treated to a special visit from not only the I.C.E. Tour on Tuesday, but also from the Islanders’ Chris Campoli. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the I.C.E. Tour had all of its interactive inflatables up and running for the kids to enjoy on the hot summer day. Campoli sat out by the Islanders RV, where he signed more than 250 autographs for the excited children. He then played a little street hockey with the kids using the brand new equipment that the Islanders donated to the program in their continuing effort to put a, “Goal in every driveway.” “I can’t believe how energetic the kids were in this heat,” Campoli said. “They were flying around during our hockey game and were just full of energy. I can’t wait to see these kids at a game shouting with the same amount of enthusiasm and getting the Coliseum rocking for one of our games.”
