Twenty of the best 11 and 12-year-old hockey players from Long Island are participating in the 54th Annual Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament from Feb. 13-24. About 2,300 young hockey players from 16 countries come to Quebec to participate in the “World Championships of Pee-Wee Hockey.”
With the support from Islanders management and staff, the Junior Islanders are considered an important part of the Islanders family. Check this blog for updates about the team on and off the ice in Quebec City.
Yesterday we played team Detroit Red Wings and lost 5 to 0. Hustle lacked until the third when every single person skated their butts off.
Today was another sad moment when the Islanders lost to Team Maryland, 3-0. The effort was there early on but we just couldn’t seem to catch a break. The game was played in a mall with a roller coaster spinning around above our heads. Anyone could watch the game while they were shopping. Tomorrow we play our last game as a team against Hallifax. Hopefully we can pull it off and achieve a win.
