Jr. Islanders - Quebec Blog Day 3

by Jocelyne Cummings / New York Islanders

Twenty of the best 11 and 12-year-old hockey players from Long Island are participating in the 54th Annual Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament from Feb. 13-24. About 2,300 young hockey players from 16 countries come to Quebec to participate in the “World Championships of Pee-Wee Hockey.”

With the support from Islanders management and staff, the Junior Islanders are considered an important part of the Islanders family. Check this blog for updates about the team on and off the ice in Quebec City.

Day 3:
Today we had another Winter Classic. The team played much better than they did yesterday! They all had their eye black on and were ready to play! The final result was a 5-5 tie. Now the kids have the day with their billet families to go snowshoeing and some other fun activities.
