The I.C.E. Tour, along with Jeff Tambellini, had a very busy weekend. With the Commerce Bank Championship being played at Eisenhower Park’s Red Course from Friday through Sunday, the Islanders were proud to be a part of it, with a presence there all three days. Jeff Tambellini made a stop on both Saturday and Sunday at the Red Course to be a part of the Islanders’ I.C.E. Tour’s set up at the tournament. Jeff mingled with fans and signed autographs from for a few hours each day, then made his way to the Islanders luxury booth along the side of the 18th Green. “What a great job they did with this course,” said Jeff, an avid golf fan. “What a great day to watch some golf and hang out with some of the fans.”
Before stopping at the golf outing again on Sunday, Jeff made a stop that morning at Newbridge Arena to say hello to all his young fans that are still playing hockey in the middle of the summer. From 9am to 12pm, the Islanders I.C.E. Tour was on hand with tons of their inflatables, the new Islanders RV (complete with a Xbox 360 and NHL 2K8), Sparky and Ice Girls, and of course, Jeff. Children came rushing out before and after their games for a chance to meet Jeff and play all the great games the Islanders I.C.E. Tour had to offer. “It’s great to see so many kids still playing hockey in the middle of the summer,” said Jeff. Be sure to continue to check the Islanders I.C.E. Tour calendar
