Isles Wives Help at Food Bank

The Islanders wives and girlfriends sorted and packaged food at the Harry Chapin Food Bank.

With Thanksgiving approaching, the New York Islanders want to make sure that no one goes hungry for the holidays. 

That's why the Isles' wives and girlfriends spent Thursday at the Harry Chapin Food Bank on Long Island, sorting, packaging and repackaging food for local soup kitchens, food pantries and families in need for the Thanksgiving holidays. 

Click here to learn more about the Harry Chapin Food Bank, which distributes over eight million pounds of food and supplies to over 590 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, senior nutrition sites and day care centers.
