The Look Ahead: Brock Nelson is one of the top scoring threats on the Islanders, making him a key piece in the offense this season. He’s finished third and second in goals on the team in the last two years, scoring 20 and 26 respectively, and the Islanders need that type of goal-scoring from him going forward.
Nelson saw some action on the wing last season, but is a natural center and could see a more solidified role down the middle with the Islanders changes this offseason. At 25, there’s still room to grow for the Islanders young gun.
