Between beards, superstitions, eccentric outfits and lively chants, the antics for playoffs are never ending. For Dan Cafiero, taking the day off work and getting to NYCB Live Nassau Coliseum first thing in the morning was a no brainer.
Because it's the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Hours before the doors opened, or the official tailgate festivities even started, Cafiero sat comfortably in his lawn chair next to his parked car. How early? Cafiero posted up at 9:30 a.m. soaking up the day ahead and preparing for the mayhem to unfold of game two between the New York Islanders and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
It was another five hours until Cafiero was finally joined by his crew ready to get the tailgate going before puck-drop.
Atta boy Dan. Way to put in a shift.
