Islanders President and General Manager Lou Lamoriello provides roster updates

Ahead of the Islanders' final practice on Long Island on Wednesday morning before travelling down to Raleigh, North Caolina to take on the Carolina Hurricanes in their season opener on Thursday night, Islanders President and General Manager Lou Lamoriello addressed the media.

Lamoriello confirmed that forward Kieffer Bellows and goaltender Cory Schneider have been added to the official roster, while goaltender Jakub Skarek and defenseman Thomas Hickey have been reassigned to Bridgeport, the team's AHL affiliate.
"Both Bellows and Schneider have been added to the roster," Lamoriello said via Zoom. "We will have 25 people on the trip. Varlamov and Martin are both not ready yet. Skarek and Hickey have been assigned to Bridgeport."
