Raty action 1

Aatu Raty was assigned to the Bridgeport Islanders on Tuesday morning, as the European prospect will continue his season stateside after being eliminated from the Liiga playoffs.
Raty, the Islanders 2021 second-round pick (52nd overall), recorded 40 points (13G, 27A) in 41 games with Jukurit, as well as one assist in six games with Karpat to start the year. Raty had two assists in seven playoff games for Jukurit. Raty played in two preseason games for the Islanders during training camp.
"Since he got traded, he stepped into a real prime spot and had a terrific year," Head Coach Barry Trotz said. "He's an important prospect for us."

"I saw him yesterday, he was on the ice for a bit," Trotz continued. "He looks stronger, he looks bigger… he looks like the player everybody expected when he was drafted."
Bridgeport is currently holding onto the final playoff spot in the Atlantic Division with a .507 points percentage and a 30-29-7-4 record (W-L-OTL-SOL).
"If he's eligible, it's a great situation," he said. "We'll see what he does in Bridgeport, that's the first transition. They're right in a playoff battle, so hopefully he's a real good fit in that situation, if he gets in."
The Islanders have two games remaining this season, hosting Springfield and Hartford on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
