Andy Hilbert will visit the Brookhaven Animal Shelter and adoption center to support the National Adoption Campaign

Come join New York Islanders Forward, Andy Hilbert at the Brookhaven Animal Shelter & Adoption Center in support of the national "Home for the Holidays" Adoption Campaign. Hilbert will be at the animal shelter from 3-5 pm on Monday, December 11 signing autographs, greeting fans and taking picture with the many animals looking to find their forever homes

"Home for the Holidays" is an adoption campaign which begins before Thanksgiving and continues through New Year's Day. Animal Shelters in all 50 states and 17 countries participate. The campaign encourages the community to "Always Think Adoption First" when opening their home and hearts to a new pet. The Brookhaven Animal Shelter in conjunction with humane organizations across the nation, are dedicated to raising the public's awareness as to the number of loving pets available for adoption.

A "Tree of Hope" stands outside the adoption center. Every time an orphaned animal finds a home, another colorful bulb will be lit on the tree.

The Brookhaven Shelter is located on 300 Horseblock Road in Yaphank, Long Island.
