Isles 2009 Pre-Season Games Sell Out

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

The Islanders’ two pre-season games next season, which will be played at Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, have both sold out.

“We always knew Saskatchewan had a rich hockey tradition and today’s sell-outs reinforce that passion,” said Islanders General Manager Garth Snow. “We look forward to September and being a part of this great hockey community.”

The Isles will face the Calgary Flames on September 19th and the Edmonton Oilers on September 20th.

“Both games sold out in approximately 30 minutes,” said Scott Ford Director of Marketing for Credit Union Centre. “What a great year for Hockey in Credit Union Centre—hosting the Islanders training camp with two sold out pre-season NHL games, the Saskatoon Blades are one of the hottest teams in the WHL, and hosting the 2010 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships—it doesn’t get any better than this.”

The Islanders will begin their Training Camp at Credit Union Centre on September 12th.
