Islanders to select fourth overall in 2012 NHL Draft

The New York Islanders will have the fourth overall pick in the 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft, as determined tonight by the 2012 Scotiabank NHL Draft Lottery.

The 2012 NHL Entry Draft will take place at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh. The first round will take place Friday, June 22, at 7 p.m. Rounds two through seven will take place Saturday, June 23.

The Islanders have had the fourth overall pick three times, selecting Clark Gillies in 1974, Scott Lachance in 1991 and Roberto Luongo in 1997.
