The New York Islanders announced today individual game tickets for the first half of the 2011-12 season will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Aug. 26.
Single game tickets throughout the 2011 calendar year will be available to the general public.
All fans will have the chance to purchase individual game tickets starting at 10 a.m. at the Nassau Coliseum Box Office, the Islanders Team Store at the Westfield Mall in Massapequa and at all Ticketmaster outlets. Individual game tickets for the Islanders preseason game on Saturday, Sept. 24 against the New Jersey Devils will also be available.

The Islanders will open the 2011-12 season with a four-game homestand, starting on Saturday, Oct. 8 against the Florida Panthers, with the opening faceoff set for 8 p.m. On Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m., the Minnesota Wild will come to Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum for Kids Opening Day. The Islanders will then host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m., before closing out the stretch with a marquee match-up against their cross-town rivals, the New York Rangers, on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
