Schempp, 22, has played the past three seasons at Ferris State University, recording nine goals and 16 assists in 41 games as a junior this year. The 6-foot, 178-pound center posted 66 points (29 goals, 37 assists) in 121 games during his career with the Bulldogs and captained the team to a WCHA Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance this season.
