The New York Islanders have signed forward Hudson Fasching to a two-year contract.

Fasching, 27, established career highs in goals (10), assists (9), points (19) and games (49) this season with the Islanders. His +10 rating ranked third amongst Islanders. The Apple Valley, MN native also scored 11 points (seven goals, four assists) in 18 games this season with the Bridgeport Islanders of the American Hockey League.

The Los Angeles Kings selected Fasching in the fourth round (118th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft. In 87 career NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres, Arizona Coyotes and Islanders, he's recorded 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists). Fasching had a career year in the AHL in 2021-22, scoring 37 points (14 goals, 23 assists) in 51 games with the Tucson Roadrunners. In 298 career AHL games with Bridgeport, Tucson and the Rochester Americans, Fasching has 159 points (76 goals, 83 assists).

Prior to his professional career, Fasching played three seasons at the University of Minnesota, collecting 94 points (46 goals, 48 assists) in 115 games.
