Islanders Release Pre-Season Schedule

The Islanders have released their 2009 pre-season schedule.


The Islanders will play their lone pre-season home game on Wednesday, September 23rd, when they matchup with the New Jersey Devils. Face-off at Nassau Coliseum is set for 7 p.m.
 
The Isles will begin their exhibition season nine days earlier, on Monday, September 14th, when they face the Vancouver Canucks as a part of Kraft Hockeyville 2009 at 10 p.m.
 
In addition to the already announced pre-season schedule, the Isles will play in Edmonton on Wednesday, September 16th against the Oilers and in Calgary on Thursday, September 17th, against the Flames. Both games are scheduled for 9 p.m.

The Islanders will then play two games at their training camp facility, the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. On Saturday, September 19th they will face off against the Calgary Flames and the following evening, Sunday, Sepetmber 20th, take on the Edmonton Oilers. Both games are set for 9 p.m.
 
At the close of Training Camp the Islanders will head to Kansas City, where they will play the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday, September, 22nd at 8 p.m. at the Sprint Center.
 
Following their pre-season home game against the Devils, the Islanders will close their pre-season schedule, completing a home-and-home series, on Tuesday, September 29th at the Prudential Center. Game-time to be announced.

All games are Eastern Daylight Time.
