Beauvillier Tearing Up QMJHL

Anthony Beauvillier is off to a blistering-hot start to the season, with 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in seven games for the Shawinigan Cataractes. After going pointless in his season debut, Beauvillier has put together a six-game point streak, including a five-point performance (three goals, two assists) in an 8-7 win over Rouyn-Noranda on Oct. 9.

This past weekend, Beauvillier posted six points (one goal, five assists) in a pair of wins for Shawinigan. The Cataractes captain assisted on all four goals in regulation Sunday, as Shawinigan downed Sherbrooke 5-4 in a shootout. On Friday, Beauvillier posted a goal and an assist in a 5-3 win over Drummondville. Shawinigan has won its last five games and is 5-2 since Beauvillier returned from training camp with the Islanders. The Islanders drafted Beauvillier 28th overall in June’s draft.
