Dal Colle Does it Again

Michael Dal Colle helped keep the Oshawa Generals atop the OHL standings with five points in two games last week. On Thursday, Dal Colle recorded one assist in a 5-2 win over the Peterborough Petes, but truly shined in a 7-1 win over the Kingston Frontenacs, scoring two goals and adding two assists. The New York Islanders 2014 fifth-overall pick ranks 10th in the OHL with 79 points (34 goals, 45 assists) in 45 games.

Bridgeport Sound Tigers:  21-24-5-1, 5th in Northeast Division, 14th in Eastern Conference

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers dropped three games over the weekend starting with a 6-3 loss to the Providence Bruins on Friday. Lukas Sutter recorded his first career AHL point with an assist on Matt Lashoff’s first period goal. Chris Langkow and C.J. Stretch also added goals in the loss. On Saturday, the Manchester Monarchs scored three goals in the second period en route to a 5-2 win over the Sound Tigers. John Persson and Kael Mouillierat tallied for Bridgeport in the defeat. Only Cory Conacher managed to find the back of the net for the Sound Tigers on Sunday in a 5-1 loss to the Hershey Bears.

Stockton Thunder: 16-33-1, 7th in Pacific Division, 13th in Western Conference

The Stockton Thunder went 2-1 against the Colorado Eagles over the weekend. On Friday, Tyler Maxwell finished with three points (two goals, one assist) while Jack MacLellan, J.T. Barnett and Tyler Shattock scored in a 5-3 win over the Eagles. Vinny Scarsella finished with three assists. On Saturday, Garet Hunt scored twice while Keith Seabrook and Maxwell scored in 4-2 win over the Eagles. However, the Thunder ran out of offense on Sunday in a 3-0 loss.

Stockton Claims ECHL Top-Scorer

The Thunder claimed ECHL veteran Jack Combs off waivers on Sunday from the Allen Americans. Combs also spent four games this season playing in Sweden’s Allsvenskan for IF Bjorkloven. Before signing with IF Bjorkloven, Combs averaged 1.75 points per game and led the entire ECHL with 56 points (22 goals, 34 assists) in only 32 games.
