Taylor Cammarata Provides Offensive Spark


Taylor Cammarata found the score sheet in a pair of wins over Ohio State University, finishing with four assists. Cammarata recorded two assists in a 4-2 win on Friday night and matched the performance in a 6-2 win the following night. The New York Islanders selected Cammarata in the third round (76th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.

Dal Colle, Ho-Sang Have Big Games

Sunday was a good day for 2014 first-round picks Michael Dal Colle and Joshua Ho-Sang. Dal Colle scored two goals and added one assist in a 7-2 win for the Oshawa Generals over the Guelph Storm. Ho-Sang scored a goal and assisted on three others as the Niagara IceDogs routed the London Knights  9-3..

Bridgeport Sound Tigers:  21-21-5-1, 5th in Northeast Division, 12th in Eastern Conference

Defenseman Jesse Graham and forward Kael Mouillierat both finished with a goal and an assist for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers while David Leggio stopped 29 shots in a 2-1 overtime win over the Syracuse Crunch on Friday night. The Sound Tigers won 3-2 in overtime on Saturday. Kevin Poulin turned away 36 shots while Scooter Vaughan, Harry Zolnierczyk and Chris Langkow scored in the win. The scoring slowed down on Sunday afternoon as only Mouillierat tallied in a 3-1 loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The Sound Tigers outshot the Penguins 37 to 27.

Sound Tigers Call Up MacLellan, Sivak

The Sound Tigers called up the Stockton Thunder’s leading scorer Jack MacLellan on Wednesday along with forward Peter Sivak. MacLellan led the Thunder with 35 points (10 goals, 25 assists) at the time of the call up while Sivak ranked fifth on the team with 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists). Sivak scored one goal in three games with the Sound Tigers in November.

Stockton Thunder: 14-31-1, 7th in Pacific Division, 13th in Western Conference

Adam Phillips and Tyler Maxwell scored, but the Alaska Aces handed the Stockton Thunder a 7-2 loss on Friday. In game two of the three-game weekend set, the Aces jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first period before J.P. Chabot scored for the Thunder. Alaska responded with two more goals and a 6-1 win. The Stockton Thunder tallied five goals in the Sunday’s third period, but the Aces managed to win the high-scoring affair 8-5 . Tyler Maxwell scored two goals and added one assist as James Henry, Garet Hunt and Tyler Shattock all finished with one goal and one assist.

Ullrich Joins Thunder Lineup

The Stockton Thunder acquired Mike Ullrich of the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL for future considerations on Wednesday. At the time of the trade, Ullrich ranked second on the Solar Bears with 32 points (nine goals, 23 assists) in 37 games. He’s previously spent time in the AHL with the Manchester Monarchs and Iowa Wild.
