Soderstrom, Sorokin Find Success At World Juniors

Two New York Islanders goaltending prospects have each had solid starts to the 2015 World Junior Championships. Linus Soderstrom (Sweden) outdueled fellow 2014 Isles draft pick, Ilya Sorokin (Russia), as Sweden won 3-2 Monday. Soderstrom and Sweden are now 3-0 and have only allowed five goals so far in the tournament. Sorokin earned a 3-2 shootout victory over Denmark in Russia’s first tournament contest. Sweden and Russia will each wrap-up preliminary round play in Toronto on Wednesday.
