Crus Rydberg Returns
Victor Crus Rydberg had a three-point night in his return to the Plymouth Whalers lineup after missing 13 games with a broken leg. The Swedish forward picked up three assists, but the Whalers fell 6-4 to the London Knights. Crus Rydberg added another assist the next night, as the Whalers fell 3-2 in overtime to the Guelph Storm. Despite missing 13 games, Crus Rydberg still ranks fourth in team scoring with 16 points (two goals,14 assists. The Islanders selected Crus Rydberg in the fifth round, 136th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Ho-Sang Breaks Loose
Joshua Ho-Sang let loose last week for seven points (one goal, six assists) in two games with the Niagara IceDogs. Ho-Sang scored a goal and added three assists in a 7-4 win over the Peterborough Petes on Thursday and added three assists in a 5-3 win over the Oshawa Generals the next night. The 2014, 28th overall pick now has 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in 13 games with the IceDogs.

Sorokin Makes Team Russia World Junior Preliminary Roster
Goaltender Ilya Sorokin, who the Islanders took in the third round of the 2014 NHL Draft made the Team Russia preliminary roster for the upcoming World Junior Championships in Toronto and Montreal. Only 19 years old, Sorokin plays for the Novokuznetsk Mettallurg in the KHL, Russia’s top professional league. Out of Team Russia’s three goaltenders, Sorokin is the only one playing in the KHL.

Bridgeport Sound Tigers:  12-10-3-1, 5th in Northeast Division, 9th in Eastern Conference

Kael Mouillierat scored the Sound Tigers lone goal in a 4-1 loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday night. On Sunday afternoon, Colton Gillies, after signing a contract on Friday with the Sound Tigers scored twice while forwards Brett Gallant and Scooter Vaughan added goals. the effort was not enough, as Sound Tigers lost 5-4 in overtime to the Hartford Wolf Pack. Cory Conacher recorded an assist in his Sound Tigers debut Sunday.

Stockton Thunder: 10-15-1, 6th in Pacific Division, 10th in Western Conference

The Thunder finished 1-3 in four games against the Colorado Eagles last week. On Wednesday, four different Thunder players scored, forward Ryan Constant recorded two assists and goaltender Kent Simpson stopped 39 shots in a 4-2 win. On Friday, the Thunder lost 8-5 despite two goals from forward Sebastian Collberg. With points in four consecutive games (three goals, three assists), Collberg left the Friday game early after a slash to the wrist and missed back-to-back losses on Saturday and Sunday. James Henry led the team with four points (one goal, three assists) in the four games.
