Feelin' Quine: Alan Quine has five-point week

After a steady start with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, forward Alan Quine exploded for five points (three goals, two assists) in three games last week. Quine scored in all three games and added two assists in a 7-2 drubbing of the Albany Devils on Saturday evening. The 21-year-old now ranks second on the Sound Tigers with 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 12 games played.

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers won three straight games last week beating the Springfield Falcons on Wednesday night and sweeping the Albany Devils over the weekend. Forwards Alan Quine and Harry Zolnierczyk both registered five points (three goals, two assists) in the three games, while goaltender Kevin Poulin allowed only six goals on 107 shots for a .944 save percentage. Forward Kael Mouillierat chipped in four points (one goal, three assists) and defenseman Kevin Czuczman recorded three assists. In Saturday’s win, the Sound Tigers set a franchise record with six power-play goals.

Stockton Thunder: 4-6-0, 6th in Pacific Division, 10th in Western Conference

The Stockton Thunder dropped a fourth consecutive game, 7-2, on Wednesday against the Ontario Reign with Jack MacLellan, Keith Seabrook and Ryan Constant all recording two points. On Friday the Thunder snapped the losing streak as two new additions, forward Prab Rai and defenseman Austin Levi, scored in a 3-2 shootout win over the Utah Grizzlies. Goaltender Shane Owen stopped 25 of 27 shots in regulation and overtime and all five shootout attempts against as forward Tyler Maxwell scored the only goal in the skills competition to earn the victory.
