Quenneville also added an assist on the game's opening goal, tallying two total points in the win for the Central Division leading Tigers.

The Islanders' 2016 seventh-round pick (200th overall) has recorded back-to-back, multi-point games for the Tigers, giving him nine points in the last seven games, and bringing his season total to 18 points (11G, 7A).

Vande Sompel Nets Two Goals for Oshawa

Defenseman Mitchell Vande Sompel notched two goals in three games last weekend for the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. Both of Vande Sompel's goals came in wins, as the Generals downed the Mississauga Steelheads 5-4 on Friday night and topped the Sudbury Wolves 4-2 on Sunday. Vande Sompel scored the icebreaker on Friday, while potting the Generals' second goal on Sunday.

The Islanders' 2015 third-round pick (82nd overall) currently ranks in the top 10 in points among defensemen in the OHL and is tied for second in goals. Vande Sompel, who serves as an alternate captain for Oshawa, has recorded 15 points (7G, 8A) through the first 18 games of the season.

Barzal's First Game Back in Seattle a Win

Mathew Barzal hit the scoresheet in his first game back with the Seattle Thunderburds, recording an assist in a 5-3 win over the Vancouver Giants. The Coquitlam, British Columbia native - and Thunderbirds' co-captain - was named the third star of the game. Barzal and Scott Eansor will rotate the captain's C this season.

The Islanders' 2015 first-round pick (16th overall) is in his fourth season with the Thunderbirds. Barzal led the team with 88 points (17G, 61A) in 58 last season.

The Missouri Mavericks fell to the Fort Wayne Komets on both Friday and Saturday night. The team's record falls to 3-7-0-1 for the season.

Jesse Graham, Rocco Carzo, and Dane Fox each registered multi-point games on Friday night, but the Mavericks could not match the Komets offense. Ville Husso stopped 30 shots in the game as Missouri lost 6-4.
