Here are this week's updates on the Islanders prospects:

DUFOUR NAMED TO CANADA'S WJC SELECTION CAMP:

William Dufour, the Islanders 2020 fifth-round pick (152nd overall) was named to Team Canada's selection camp for the upcoming 2022 World Junior Hockey Championships (WJC).
Dufour was one of 35 players named to Canada's selection camp for the World Juniors. The annual junior showcase will take place in Edmonton and Red Deer, AB, starting on Dec. 26, 2021, and wrapping up on Jan. 5, 2022.

After earning the camp invite, Dufour posted another fruitful week with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
Dufour posted a three-point (1G, 2A) performance in Saint John's 6-3 win over Blainville-Boisbriand on Dec. 3. The goal marked his 19th of the season and his sixth power-play goal. On Dec. 5, Dufour lit the lamp for his 20th tally of the season in Saint John's 2-1 loss to Victoriaville.
The 19-year-old winger now has a 14-game point streak and has only gone two games throughout the regular season without recording at least a point. In total, Dufour has amassed 44 points (20G, 24A) through 25 games this season. His 44 points are the second-most in the QMJHL.
Dufour and Saint John are ranked third overall in the Eastern Conference 14-9-3.


KRYGIER NETS FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON

Christian Krygier posted a two-point (1G, 1A) performance as the Michigan State Spartans' split in their weekend series against Penn State.
Krygier, who the Islanders selected 196th overall at the 2018 NHL Draft, scored his first goal of the season on Friday night as the Spartans dropped a 4-2 result to Penn State. Krygier dished out an assist the following night in Saturday's 4-3 victory.
Through 16 games this season, Krygier has posted six points (1G, 5A) and 22 PIMs. Krygier and Michigan State are ranked fourth overall in the Big Ten with a 4-4-0 conference record and boast an overall record of 9-6-1.


COCKERILL GETS ON THE BOARD

Logan Cockerill scored his first goal of the season with the Boston University Terriers on Friday night. Cockerill lit the lamp in BU's 3-1 win over New Hampshire.
Through 15 games this season, the Islanders' 2017 seventh round (201st overall) has totaled three points (1G, 2A). Cockerill and Boston University are ranked sixth overall in the Hockey East conference with a 10-3-1 record and have an overall record of 10-5-1.


RATY RACKS UP OFFENSE

Aatu Raty continues to heat up with Jukurit of Liiga, Finland's top tier professional ice hockey league. Raty, who the Islanders drafted 52nd overall in the second round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, posted a two-goal performance on Dec. 3 as he helped lift Jukurit 4-2 over SaiPa.
The goals marked Raty's fifth and sixth tallies with Jukurit. Through nine games with Jukurit, the 19-year-old center has 11 points (6G, 5A).
Raty and Jukurit are ranked seventh overall in Liiga with a 14-11-3 record.


LIUKAS LIGHTS THE LAMP

Eetu Liukas buried his second goal of the season with TPS in Liiga, the top tier professional ice hockey league in Finland. The Islanders' 2021 fifth rounder (157th overall) netted a shorthanded goal as TPS defeated Karpat 4-3 on Dec. 2.
Through 17 games with TPS, the left winger has totaled two goals. Liukas and TPS are ranked first overall in Liiga with an 18-7-1 record.
