Islanders Prospect Report: April 15, 2019

DOBSON AND DURANDEAU ADVANCE TO QMJHL THIRD ROUND:

Dobson has 15 points (3G, 12A) in 10 playoff games for the Huskies, establishing career-highs in playoff assists and points. The Islanders' 2018 first-round pick leads all QMJHL defensemen in postseason points and is fifth overall in the league. Dobson recorded three assists in Rouyn-Noranda's series-clinching win over Victoriaville on April 11, his first-career three-point game in the playoffs.
Rouyn-Noranda, the QMJHL's top regular season team, swept the regular season series with Rimouski.
Durandeau has eight points (4G, 4A) in 11 playoff games for the Mooseheads, who swept their second-round series with Moncton after surviving a first-round scare against Quebec.
Halifax went 1-1-0 against Drummondville during the regular season.

WILDE AND JENKINS ADVANCE TO OHL CONFERENCE FINALS:

Bode Wilde, Blade Jenkins and the Saginaw Spirit have advanced to the OHL Western Conference Final after beating the Soo Greyhounds in six games. They will play the winner of the London Knights-Guelph Storm series, which concludes Tuesday, in the next round. This marks the first time in franchise history the Spirit have advanced to the conference finals.
Wilde has eight points (6G, 2A) while Jenkins has seven (4G, 3A) in 10 playoff games. Wilde's six playoff goals are second among OHL defensemen and the 2018 second-round pick (41st overall) has goals in two straight.
Jenkins, the Isles' 2018 fifth-round pick (134th overall) has set career-highs in playoff goals (4) and points (7) this year.

SOROKIN LEADING KHL FINAL 2-0:

Ilya Sorokin and CSKA Moscow lead the Gagarin Cup Final 2-0 after scoring a 5-2 win over Avangard in the series opener on Saturday and a 3-0 shutout win in Game 2 on Monday.
Sorokin stopped 24-of-26 shots in Game 1, while also recording an assist - his eighth-career point. Sorokin followed it up with a 27-save shutout in Game 2, his fourth shutout of the postseason.
The Islanders 2014 third-round pick is 14-4 in the playoffs with a 1.30 GAA and a .941 SV%.

MIRAGEAS ELIMINATED IN FROZEN FOUR SEMIS:

Ben Mirageas and the Providence Friars lost to Minnesota Duluth 4-1 in the NCAA Frozen Four semi-finals.
Minnesota Duluth wound up winning the national championship shutting out UMass 3-0 in Saturday's final.
Mirageas, the Isles' 2017 third-round pick (77th overall), finished his sophomore season with 13 points (2G, 11A) in 42 games.
