Islanders Player Ryan Strome to Visit Floorball Clinic in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN (February 19, 2016) - On Sunday, Feb. 21, Islanders forward Ryan Strome will visit a ‘Try Hockey for Free’ floorball clinic from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Bergen Beach Youth Organization’s Community Sports Complex in Brooklyn.

The event, in partnership with Generation Floorball and Millennium Development, is open to the public, and will be held in conjunction with USA Hockey’s Hockey Weekend Across America (HWAA). HWAA dedicates the weekend to celebrate hockey and provide opportunities for new fans to try the sport.

The Islanders have also partnered with Generation Floorball and Millennium Development to bring hockey to seven different elementary and middle schools in Brooklyn through an eight week program. The program, which aims to generate interest in the sport of hockey and promote healthy, active lifestyles, consists of intramural games and a mini-league.
