Islanders Family Fan Fest Go Green in Levittown

After being a part of the Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge up in Port Washington on Saturday morning, the Islanders’ Family Fan Fest made their way into Levittown later that afternoon to help support another event, the Greening of Levittown. The event was held at the Yours, Mine, and Ours in Levittown to help raise awareness about saving energy. The organizers of the event were encouraging people to “Go Green” and spread the word about alternative sources of energy, like solar and wind power. Guests who walked or rode their bikes to the event were presented with free t-shirts for their efforts.  Sparky and the Ice Girls were available for autographs and pictures. Over 200 people in attendance all were delighted to see Sparky and his Ice Girl friends, who dozens of pictures with everyone before heading back home to the Coliseum.
