Windsor Spitfires

If the Islanders select Alexander Khokhlachev, he will be the fourth player drafted by the franchise who played junior hockey for the Windsor Spitfires.

Isles most recent Spitfires selection was Josh Bailey (2008, 9th overall), who will embark on his fourth NHL campaign next season. In his first three campaigns, Bailey played 211 games and posted 88 points (34 goals, 54 assists).

Jeff Zehr (1997, 31st overall) and D.J. Smith (1995, 41st overall) also played games in the NHL, but neither of them dressed in games for the Islanders.

Zehr dressed in four games for the Boston Bruins and served one minor penalty. Smith played 11 games in two seasons for the Toronto Maple Leafs before playing in 34 games for the Colorado Avalanche. In a three season span, he earned one goal and one assist, while putting up 67 penalty mintues.
