Islanders Scout Tim MacLean
On Boone Jenner - Jenner is a heart and soul type of player with good leadership abilities. He is a guy who battles hard and has the ability to compliment skilled players. He plays hard in traffic and has good hands around the net. He is a tough skater who will need to work hard at improving his foot speed to reach his potential.

NHL Central Scouting's Chris Edwards
On Boone Jenner - The phrase, 'I want 20 of those guys on my team,' gets overused, but it not only applies to Boone, he can be the poster boy for it. Boone does what it takes to win. He blocks shots, wins battles along the boards and is an outstanding forechecker. He wants to be first to the puck every time. He's solid on his skates and fights through checks on his way to the net.

Islanders Scout Vellu Kautonen
On Zakhar Arzamastsev - Arzamastsev has good size. He’s a decent skater who has good hockey sense.

Ontario Hockey League
Oshawa Generals

The Islanders have selected one player from the Oshawa Generals in each of the past two draft years. Tony DeHart (2010, 125th overall) and Calvin de Haan (2009, 12th overall), have been Generals teammates since the 2008-09 season. Currently, there aren't any other Islanders prospects in the Generals system.

If the Islanders select Boone Jenner in this year's draft, he will be the third prospect in the Isles current system to have played for the Generals.

In the past, the Islanders have selected Tyrone Garner (1996, 83rd overall), Brent Grieve (1989, 65th overall), Iain Fraser (1989, 233rd overall) and Jeff Hackett (1987, 34th overall), all from Oshawa.
