On Joseph Morrow - Morrow is a good skating defenseman. He has the ability to join the rush as well as lead the play at times too. He shoots to score from the blue line.

Portland Winterhawks

The Portland Winterhawks were founded in 1976 and have gone on to win both the Memorial Cup and the Ed Chynoweth Cup (formerly the President’s Cup) twice.

The Islanders have previously selected three players from the Winterhawks.

If the Islanders select Ty Rattie, he will be the fourth player drafted out of Portland, and only the second since 1985. The Islanders have previously chosen Nino Niederreiter (2010, 5th overall), Jeff Finley (1985, 55th overall) and Richard Kromm (1982, 37th overall) from the Winterhawks.
