The Islanders' ICE Tour visited two schools today, one in Massapequa and one in Central Islip. At RJ Lockhart Elementary of Massapequa, the slap shot booth was on hand for the school's annual field day for all the children to enjoy. From 9am to 2pm, kids in grades 1 through 5 made their way over to test their shooting ability at the inflatable and bragged to their friends about going top shelf or five hole on the cut out goalie. The children of RJ Lockhart Elementary also all received some great Islander giveaways just for trying the slap shot booth.

Meanwhile, the rest of the ICE Tour had made its way out to Central Islip to be a part of Cordello Avenue Elementary's field day. From 9am to 12pm, the Family Fan Fest, which consisted of the inflatable moonbounce and obstacle course, were available for all of the children to enjoy. Sparky and a few of his lovely friends from the Ice Girls also made an appearance to join in all of the summer fun, including a thrilling game of kickball. With classes winding down and summer vacation just around the corner, what better way to celebrate than to bounce around in the inflatable while trying to throw huge open ice hits like Brendan Witt at the inflatable players inside the moonbounce or race through a series of challenges in the obstacle course? Great Islanders giveaways were available to all students, all of whom had a blast while preparing for their favorite time of the year, summer vacation!
