Today was a busy day for the Islanders' ICE Tour, starting it's morning out east in Hauppauge and ending the day in the late afternoon in Hempstead. By 9am this morning, the ICE Tour had made it's first stop at The Rinx in Hauppauge and the Family Fun Fest was open to all the young skaters and their families that were attending the rink that morning. The rink was holding its annual summer house league tournament, with the Islanders there for some extra support and fun for all the participants of the tournament. Sparky and the Ice Girls were also on hand to greet the children who love to play the great game of hockey, even during the hot days of summer. Every child had a the opportunity to receive some great Islanders prizes before the ICE Tour packed up and headed back west.

The second stop of the day for the ICE Tour was not too far from the Nassau Coliseum, as the caravan of Islanders SUVs and their box truck made a stop at Kennedy Memorial Park on Greenwich Street in Hempstead. The ICE Tour was there to be a part of the annual Hempstead Day Festival, a fair that included plenty of interactive games, music, and food for all who attended. The Islanders added to the fun by setting up their inflatable moonbounce and slap shot booth for the children to enjoy, as well as handed out tons of great Islanders prizes. The ICE Tour will be making stops across Long Island all this summer, so be sure to check the ICE Tour Calendar on the website by clicking here to see when the tour will be making a stop near you!
