IBC Launches Into New Season

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders
The Islanders Business Club, the business-to-business network that was created to help companies drive their business objectives, has made great strides in its first year. Spearheaded by Executive Director and Islanders Hall of Famer Mike Bossy, the IBC is taking it to the next level in year two.

Today, the IBC—which boasts nearly 400 members—is unveiling its brand new, comprehensive website— The new and improved online home of the IBC, will include a full-fledged member directory, a complete schedule of upcoming events, photo galleries from past events, and everything you need to know about the IBC.
“We have been extremely active this summer and I am pleased with the results,” said Bossy. “The IBC is on the way to becoming the premier Networking/Business Development club on Long Island. Our membership is growing every day, and we continue to think of new ideas that will benefit our members. I am looking forward to interacting with each and every one of our members this coming season.”
In addition to the launch of the new website, the IBC has three events coming up in October, beginning with a pre-season prospecting night and an IBC Trade Show. Taking place on October 1, and held in conjunction with the Islanders pre-season game against the New Jersey Devils, the prospecting night will host its members and future members, plus a Trade Show will allow IBC members to show off their products and services. The IBC will hold its regular event and then open the Trade Show in the Nassau Coliseum Expo Hall to all fans who attend the game that night.
The IBC will then be holding two networking/business development events for its members, the first being the IBC Kick-Off Event on Opening Night, October 11. Then, on October 27—for the first game between the Islanders and Rangers—the IBC proudly will host its second annual edition of “Islanders Mean Business.”

Another initiative for IBC members that is in the works is a business-to-business benefits program, in which all IBC members will provide VIP services and offers to each other. The program is set to launch in November and a kiosk will be set up to get on-site information on October 1.
